JFCS East Bay partners with clients, staff, and community to pursue justice, promote healing, and advocate for meaningful change. Since 1877, we have provided innovative human services across Alameda and Contra Costa counties, including family strengthening, trauma-informed care, legal representation for immigrants, refugee resettlement, and housing advocacy.

Project Purpose
JFCS East Bay seeks a qualified consultant to:
- Assess the feasibility of a major fundraising campaign in conjunction with the 150th Anniversary.
- Develop a compelling and achievable campaign goal aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide a campaign planning framework that engages donors, stakeholders, and the broader community.
Scope of Work
Feasibility Study:

- Assess organizational readiness, staffing, and systems.
- Interview key stakeholders (board members, donors, staff, community partners).
- Analyze donor capacity, philanthropic trends, and external market conditions.
Campaign Goal Development:

- Collaborate with leadership to define fundraising goals.
- Develop preliminary messaging and case-for-support themes aligned with programs and values.
Campaign Planning Framework:

- Recommend campaign phases, benchmarks, staffing needs, and internal alignment strategies.
- Review and enhance current materials as needed.

Timeline
- RFP Release: Dec. 15, 2025
- Proposal Deadline: Jan. 15, 2026

Evaluation Criteria
- Relevant experience with fundraising campaigns, preferably anniversary or major campaigns
- Understanding of JFCS East Bay’s mission, values, and community context
- Quality, clarity, and feasibility of proposed approach
- Cost-effectiveness and value
- Demonstrated cultural competence and engagement with diverse stakeholders
