Legal Services for Low-Income Immigrants
Every year, JFCS East Bay provides pro bono legal services to approximately 2,000 low-income immigrants and refugees in Contra Costa and Alameda counties. We help people with citizenship, green cards, visas, fee waivers, and much more. We also provide removal defense services for people in detention or deportation proceedings. Our staff includes three Immigration Attorneys and three Department of Justice-accredited paralegals. Given the current administration’s harmful policies, the need for these services has increased exponentially in the past few years. Immigrants are vulnerable and scared, and we stand with them.
