In-Kind Donations

JFCS East Bay resettles newcomer refugees, provides legal immigration services, assists older adults, and serves low-income families throughout Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Many in our community have faced inequities, and many are starting anew with few resources. We welcome your support in providing high quality and like-new household items to those making a new home. If we can accept the items, JFCS East Bay can provide you with a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

Please contact Volunteer Services at and leave a description of the items you wish to donate. For furniture items, please email a picture so we can determine if we can use the items. If we accept the items, we will arrange with you a drop-off location either at our storage unit in Walnut Creek or the Concord office. Please note that we are sorry we do not have a pick-up service of any kind. Thank you!

• Twin and full-size mattresses (free of stains/damage)

• Flat screen TV’s w/ cables

• Bikes – men/women/children – easily repairable and rideable

• Car Seats/Strollers – clean, like new

• Couches/loveseats

• Oversized chairs

• Futons

• Queen- or king-sized beds

• Head/foot boards

• Large dining tables

• Desks

• Used kitchen items (i.e. dishes, utensils, appliances)

• Clothing

• Bedding & Towels

• Electronics

• Stuffed animals

• Books

• Toys/Games

• Baby Gear – feeding chairs, port-a-cribs
