We are excited to introduce Violetta Babich, LMFT, who joined JFCS East Bay in May 2024 as the Clinical Manager for Children, Youth, and Family Services. With over 20 years of deep-rooted experience in the East Bay community, Violetta brings a wealth of knowledge and a passionate commitment to trauma-transformative, racially, and socially just work.
Violetta’s journey to JFCS East Bay is shaped by her dedication to supporting those in need through both clinical work and advocacy. As a Clinical Manager, Violetta provides mentoring, coaching, and guidance to her clinical team, helping them navigate the complexities of community-based therapeutic work. Her role also involves ensuring compliance with MediCal requirements and strengthening partnerships with community organizations to offer integrated and interdisciplinary care.
An immigrant from Yugoslavia who settled in Oakland in the early 1990s, Violetta has found a true home in the East Bay. She deeply values the warmth and kindness of the diverse community she has become a part of, both those who have lived here for generations and those who, like her, have made it their new home.
Violetta’s commitment to her work is unwavering. She is particularly passionate about serving youth and families who have been most impacted by racial and systemic oppression, and she is intentional about maintaining the highest standards of service quality within her program. The success stories of the children she has worked with, many of whom have overcome extreme trauma and are now thriving as young adults, bring her immense joy and fulfillment.
At this stage in her career, Violetta is excited to share her expertise with the next generation of clinicians at JFCS East Bay. She feels privileged to witness the healing and growth of the families and youth she serves and looks forward to continuing her impactful work within the community.
